More bad news is in store Oliphant never saw a Republican economy he liked. The rich have too much money. Lets increase the minimum wage to say, $20 bucks an hour, and the poor will become middle class overnight!

A modern industrialized economy runs on energy. With energy prices soaring I can believe that inflation will soon raise its ugly head. Then I suppose Greenspan will further raise interest rates to combat it, this could result in more unemployment and ultimately a recession. Not a good sign IMHO. Just too bad we didnt open up other areas for oil exploration, push nuclear fuel more and start a program to build more refineries. Bush isnt to blame, congress is but I suppose Bush will take the heat. jdn
