"I am curious, before bush came into office, did clinton not have problems with people killing our troops? Did our ships and embassies and barracks and such not get blown up by people long before dubya came into office? I remember some marine barracks and such getting blowed up. I remember attacks on world trade centers in clinton days - again before Bush."

You are absolutely correct, and that is why it was essential that we invade Norway!!!

Norway ... did I say Norway? I meant .... BOTSWANA!! Yeah, that's the ticket, we had to invade Botswana to preserve our freedoms!

No? Doesn't fit the bill you say? How about Denmark? Uruguay? Nepal? Canada? France? Luxemburg?

Well, let's see. I remember 241 Marines were killed in Lebanon when Reagan invaded around 1982. He promised to stay the course - but then withdrew shortly after that...

We had some troops die under Clinton - what around 10?

What is the current count now, almost 2,000 US dead in Iraq, and over 10,000 wounded, many critically?

The Clinton administration stopped the Year 2000 Attacks. The Bush administration did not stop 9-11, resulting in over 2800 US dead - and the expenditure of 300 billion and counting on wars since then.

We don't have Bin Laden, we are still in Afghanistan, and he started a war in Iraq based on misinformation, and lies - in opposition of most of the world, and the UN.

Bottom Line: I'd take Clinton back in a millisecond over Bush II - any day - any time.

And you could argue that Bush I started this whole mess by meddling in Iraq/Kuwait in the first place. How much have we spent 1990-2005? How much projected 1990-2010 on the Iraq Wars? A Trillion Dollars?? What have we got for it? Improved US reputation and trust around the world? Admiration of the world's people?
An improved image in the Middle East?

Cheaper oil???

It's been a gigantic waste of time, people, and resources.
