There are very few people "on the dole".

Listen, there are people that are really in trouble, good hard working Americans. In previous generations they would have done OK, been at least marginally middle class. Now they are getting killed by housing costs, medical costs, transportation costs. These are not bums, these are salt of the earth God fearing citizens.

If you are still fighting the "welfare queen" battle, you need to get past that. These people are the working poor, getting poorer. I know quite a few that work two jobs just to make ends meet. They have no choice.

There is no question that income distribution is a problem. Not just for the working poor, but also for the rich. It's not sustainable (and it's not fair or democratic).
