Yep, the MT-40 is a nice part. 2.2GHz and 25W TDP. Now, the one place where Centrino systems make a bit back is in DDR2 vs. DDR power dissipation.

Petz, I assume that MT-40 is 2.2 GHz 1M L2. So Turion now exceeds Centrino in clock speed

Pentium M is currently available up to 2.26 Ghz.

As far as power consumption goes, it remains to be seen how close Turion will get to Centrino-powered notebooks in models designed for long battery life. Even if we assume that the actual power consumption of the CPU is indeed lower, there´s still the rest of the platform to consider.
