1)Either you have zero comprehension of the stakes for America in World War II, and no understanding of the fact that we had no business going to war in Iraq, or you are simply attempting some lame distraction. The situation in Iraq is different in so many ways from World War II that it gives me a headache to even think of listing them all here.

2)Actually it looks like women in general will be treated much more severely under what looks like an Islamic state in Iraq than they were under Saddam. Women worked, drove, wore western clothing and had substantially more freedoms than women do in traditional Islamic countries. Women are bound, tortured and killed on a regular basis in those countries, as they will be in Iraq once the new constitution is in place.

3)If you read the world press, there sure are a lot of Iraqis saying things were better under Saddam in general than they are now. More employment, more electricity, more food, fewer dead civilians, more everything really unless you were his enemy. For the Iraqi population in general, things were better then.

There are many parallels. Both noble causes with a clear 'good' guy and a clear 'bad' guy.

But in my opinion, the mission in Iraq has been accomplished now. There is no need for a permanent occupation. It's time to bring home our victorious troops.
