From the current crop of acts, Eminem stands out as a truly singular talent.

1990s artists of sufficient note that they'll be doing reunion tours 20 years from now include Tori Amos, the Chemical Brothers, Fat Boy Slim, Green Day, Jane's Addiction, Moby, Garth Brooks, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Tragically Hip, etc etc etc. The list is as long for the 90s as it was for the 80s (and 70s and 60s and...)

I can really only think of ONE really blockbuster creative hit- Nirvana nevermind.

Eminem alone has more than that. With all due respect, this appears to speak more to your listening habits than the state of music. There is a ton of creative music out there...
