Actually, I don't think she is suing the doctor, she filed a complaint with the medical board. He sent a letter of apology, which should have been an end to it. But no, the board may send him for some PC "re-education." They should back off.

That I agree with.

I suspect he was tired of nicely telling people to lose weight and not having it have any effect.

You know, she's a big girl, in more ways than one, and it's her decision as far as making lifestyle changes. It could be she had already done everything and still can't lose the weight, which does happen, in which case him rubbing it in is cruel.
