Yes, I know I need to learn more.

If THAI is successful it could revolutionize in-situ extraction and get away from SAGD.

Page 10 of this presentation shows OrCrude is a different process from SAGD
nexeninc.com

and this in flash
longlake.ca

OrCrude avoids using as much NG in upgrading, making upgrading less epxensive, plus uses the upgraded fuel in SAGD.

THAI does compete with OrCrude in using less NG in SAGD. THAI uses none, it appears OrCrude might still use some. longlake.ca.

In the future, perhaps the most efficient SAGD operation will use THAI for SAGD + OrCrude for upgrading and produce 37 degree+ API oil with the least amount of NG.

Maybe we should own both OPC and PBG, to get the upside of the latest technology. I also think that PBG is being slightly 'punished' for the fact THAI isn't proved in a pilot. PBG can still be very successful with their 1.3bn bbls OOIP but somehow the THAI pilot obscures that somewhat.

I have been studying Wentworth, and of all the stocks I have ever studied there have been few that seemed more of a crap shoot than this one. It's not very clear to me who owns the company or what the company owns. "600 acres" is less than one square mile, and that does not sound like a very large tar sand property to me. Reading between the lines, whatever management there may be seems to be saying, "We are waiting for someone to give us money and tell us what to do."

Nevertheless, I have an order in for a tiny position in Wentworth. I fully expect to lose all my money but I might learn something.
