My VA doctorette must have gone to the same school. She said to start out walking 2 miles a day. I can't walk to & from my mailbox everyday using my walker, 300 yd round trip, without stopping to sit and rest 3 times. If my walker didn't have a seat, I'd have to get a neighbor to fetch my mail. Fortunately, several have offered. Everytime I drive to a store 5 miles away, I almost wet my pants when I get out of my car. Thank goodness for Handicapped Parking and electric carts at Walmart. I may not be able to visit my son in Hawaii because the flight is too long and I can't sit for more than 60 minutes at a time. I may have to start wearing adult diapers. Woe is me! ;~(
