UTAH OIL SANDS

Ongoing negotiations indicate that Wentworth Energy is poised to acquire the sole and exclusive rights to purchase a 100% interest on this property. The target area covers approximately 600 acres of Northeastern Utah and is estimated to contain up to 100 million barrels of proven reserves. Numerous major oil companies including Sun Oil, Texaco, Philips and Shell extensively and precisely explored the entire area during the 1970's. During this period, extraction plans were developed and local operations began but the technology was not economic for the times. Currently, oil sands reserves worldwide are almost equal to the worldwide reserves of conventional oil reserves. Given existing pricing combined with the development of latest generation oil sands-specific technologies now available to us, the company believes that commercially operated extraction costs, estimated presently from 8.50 to 13.00 dollars per barrel, makes this major project a particularly viable and attractive target acquisition for the Company. Additionally, the agreement under negotiation incorporates a performance-based acquisition option on reserves containing up to a further 500 MMBO.
