Judge away. You have every right to do so. What I disagree with is your assessment that the mission is a failure. It has by no means been perfect and there will continue to be problems and adjustments to be made.

Has there been monumental goof ups like we had in WWII(just for example sake)? Have we stranded marines on Pacific islands to be over ran by the Japanese so they could be used for samurai sword head chopping practice? Have we been so poorly prepared and equipped that it took us 3 years to rescue POW's from death camps? Have we positioned our assets so the enemy could destroy a major portion of our capabilities in one attack?

Critics are common enough to allow for very low intrinsic value. Decision makers demand the premium.
