Smart boy. Actually, Ted's lengthy and somewhat pointless article adds grist to MY mill --clue:

"[J.-Ch. de Menezes] didn't make a lot of money in England as he was a self-employed electrician. Most of his money went on rent and food. He wanted to stay for another two years to save money so he could come back and invest in a ranch."

Most of the late Menezes' earnings were used up on rent and food. Yet our up-and-coming Brazilian David Copperfield planned to "save money so he could... invest in a ranch" back home!? What money? Let's face it, there ain't two ways around it: Menezes' only chance to stash enough money to fly back home first-class and buy a ranch was to work as a drug mule... buying and selling as many XTC pills as possible.
