I don't know why you were banned, but what you wrote was false. You wrote that: "the Repub admin of Ronald Reagan had a penchant for overthrowing democratically elected governments in Central America and South America way back in the 1980s." This statement is just plain wrong. The truth is that before Reagan was President, much of South America was ruled by Military Dictatorships. By the time Reagan and Bush (41) completed their terms, virtually all the countries in South America were democracies.

You are correct the United States did support the Contras, but Daniel Ortega remained in power till removed by an ELECTION in 1990 - after greatly enriching himself and his friends (just like the man Ortega replaced, Somoza). Great Guy! Just ask his step-daughter.
