You wrote: "Tell it to hundred of thousands of IT workers let go in the last 5 years."

IMHO:

I agree with you. I have several friends in technical fields (IT, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, etc.) here in Minneapolis who cannot find jobs! These people do have in some cases, substantial experience...so I don't know why we need more of them or need to outsource more of their kind of jobs?

Just my two cents...

"It's OK though - we have focused our energies on building an oversupply of housing, and invading Iraq.

That will help us greatly over the next 20-30 years as we try to compete with China.
LOL

I think the whole education issue is a crock - it's not true at all. Tell it to hundred of thousands of IT workers let go in the last 5 years"

I wish it wasn't true but sadly it is. And it is all happening with complete control by a Republican party I once favored my whole adult life except for centerist Clinton as president. All I ever heard for years was how they'd make it better for business and our economy if they had complete control for the first time in half a century. What a bunch of bs. Maybe even more tax cuts and start another was so we'll have a one trillion annual budget deficit. When will it end and our dollar equals a peso so many million of hispanics are fleeing from that our administration looks the other way at illegals just so as to pump up social security and keep the economy growing at any cost.
