Remember one thing....there's a difference between a "payroll" job counted by the feds and the number of ways people are making a living in this economy. Neither you nor I know what that difference is....but to this day, I've not seen any horror stories about young people or old people who want to work NOT being able to find some way to get along in the world. I saw a bazillion of those stories about workers in the early 1990s and even worked in an office where a bunch of three-piece-suit former-"executives" suddenly came into real estate as a last resort. Not long after, they left real estate because other jobs opened up more suited to their needs. Where are all the stories about college graduates today NOT being able to find a job and laying around at home on Mom and Dad's payroll?

If you compare the deficit to the cost of the war, they're similar. We didn't have a war on this scale in the '90's. It's all charged to the future now. 1 billion dollars a day, every day we're in Iraq.

Again, if the RE bubble was creating all the trade positions you guys say are being created they would show up in the numbers. Lizzie one of my friends in south ga used to be a police man - then he started an alarm company - then he added a home theater installation company to it - now he has added a smarthome section to his company - when all the trailers in south ga trailer parks have home theaters, toilets that analyze your turds and send the results to doctors - in house air and water monitoring systems that send results to county officials, refigerators that order the groceries you are out of and WEBVAN folks show up at your door to fill you back up with the new case of Bud beer - then maybe there will be less growth in the housing potential - but he still attends smarthome conferences all over the world and still making big bucks installing all this technology in peoples trailers. He has trailers where you have biosecurity devices to access the front screen door?!??! BWAHAHA - he has trailers where people have infrared motion detectors aimed at thier cars gas cap for the mexicans and trash can lids for the racoons! One redneck keeps kelso chickens - fighting rooster - and a fox and a hawk were eating his birds - so he paid friend big bucks to install technology to stop these predators from hurting his flock. Electric fences - motion detectors - etc etc High tech rednecks popping up everywhere!! I walked into one of these trailers about 6 months back, had to have a thumbprint to get into the bathroom and the fridge - poppa was getting tired of beer going missing and toilet paper running out (high tech toilet paper dispenser next on his list when the webvan folks come to town - hehe) He had A big screen plasma in his little singlewide trailer - satellite - home theater system - wireless hub - his chickens out back had all kinds of stuff installed too - this guy cant read or write - he is an under the table handy man. Paid for it all in under the table cash - he gets a check from the gubbment because he is too stupid to work - HAHA! I bet if they ever go inspect inside his trailer - they gonna wonder how thier NUMBERS missed this high tech redneck - HAHA STOP - you are killing me - HAHAHA! BWAHAHA! PS he makes a fortune fighting his chickens too - how do they miss that and keep sending him a check for being too dumb to earn money? HAHAHA
