When rightwingers continue losing the debate, they always resort to certain old tricks. Like bringing up Jane Fonda (who despite apologizing 100 times and fighting for peace is blamed for losing of the Vietnam War, no blame to Johnson or Nixon of course who gave the orders), or bringing up Chappaquiddick (a sleazy tragedy but still just an accident akin to Laura Bush's mowing down her ex-boyfriend in her car), or attacking the critics are radical, evil, un-American or some kind of sleazy sex pervert. Meanwhile, Karl Rove is entertaining gay hookers in the WH 197 times and Bush condones it.
