"Aghast" and "shocking" is a little strong for me. I see those kind of knee jerk reactions as more of an emotional anti-religious response, linked to a group think pile on motivation by the MSM. :-)

Calling for the assassination of Saddam seemed reasonable to me after having read so many stories about his atrocities and human rights violations. What struck me about Robertson's call for assassinating Hugo was; maybe there is a lot I don't know about the guy. I know he is a Castro loving socialist/Communist, but not an evil tyrant on the same playing field as Saddam. However, I'm open to evidence I could be wrong.

Lotsa people who are aghast at what Robertson said, including me, have no objecting to taking out either one of them.

So you favor the covert thing versus the overt thing? My opinion is this. Robertson, like Jackson, like Sharpton all tend to engage mouth before engaging brain. In the case of the latter two, it seems to be all about them and media attention. I don't know if that is Robertson's thing or not. In any event, it was a silly comment to make. No, not silly. Stupid.

Robertson and Stephanopoulos?
