but not an evil tyrant on the same playing field as Saddam

I don't know that he is an evil tyrant along the lines of Saddam or Hitler and the like. Saddam really is pure evil. Chavez is more like crazy and wrong headed and a big-time monkey wrench and best out of the way. Chavez is more of a thorn in our side, seems to me, than Saddam was given that he's in our back yard. Saddam evil was mostly internal and distant.

Calling for the assassination of Saddam seemed reasonable to me

Robertson is a certifiable nut case, but he got this one partially right. He should have suggested that Venezuelans themselves would be wise to "remove" him and not the US government or any outfit affiliated with the US.

For any person who claims to be a Minister of Christ to call for the murder of another human being is an abomination. That is exactly what the Islamic Imams call for. What the babbling blowhard disciples of clinton call for has no equivalence.

"Aghast" and "shocking" is mild to well within the appropriate reaction to me.
