Cramer did not talk about spinoff possibilities.
What is ironic is that Cramer's reason forpicking MCD is the reason for spinning off of Chipotles. According to the cnbc, the management of MCD wanted to focus on its core business which would be at odds with growing Chipotle. I can see the logic there.
In fact, Cramer's whole methodology of finding a small but growing division/subsidiary of a mature business to achieve overall faster growth is tested by this MCD example. Cramer gave some other picks following this model. How can management reconcile the conflicting demands of the mature company and the fasting growing subsidiary? Hard to do, imho.
Why is mad cow disease just noice? MCD declined because of it; the decline my be small but it certainly drives investors away from the whole sector including MCD.
