7pm CDT advisory: 89.1W, 27.2N, direction given as "NNW". Pressure up just a notch, to 904 mb, max winds 160mph.

Should be over the city around 9-10am tomorrow. It's turning some, too soon to say if it'll be enough. The storm surge will still be severe if the hurricane passes to the east, as counterclockwise rotation will fill Lake Ponchartrain and then dump it on the city. A turn to where it makes landfall around Pass Christian might be enough to prevent widespread flooding, but it's a long way from there....

Sure looks like a real turn north... if it turns a bit more New Orleans might miss the brunt of the storm. If it goes straight north from right now, however....
