We can hope. The best case is an eye wall replacement cycle starts soon and Katrina stays to the West of the Lake ... not much of a best case ...

I hope for the best and fear for the worst (east side of New Orleans). These things eventually turn north and east.

One good thing is that the windspeed has dropped a little. Hard to keep up 175mph for very long.
