"What do you think? The religious authority is corrupt and so are their spokespersons. I am not a spokesperson for others. Here is what I think, speaking only for myself: The prize is liberty and justice for all, living in peaceful coexistence. We can track the history of the world via the many struggles by people to be liberated from tyrants, liberated from oppressive dogma, or to be liberated from unjust social order, while seeking greater autonomy in their individual lives of peaceful coexistence with others. The Islamo Terrorists gave up on continuing that struggle to pursue Islamofascism for self serving purposes. They are in the process of destroying society so the can start from scratch and rebuild anew. They see them selves as riding in the Arc, commanding the rains. I believe they are wrong and must be stopped. Setting the personalities (good guys / bad guys) aside for the moment; stopping them is a good thing. They are in error. You cannot build a good world government on a foundation of terror and tyrannous brutality. Government is nothing more than the order which allows the members of society to relate to one another in a material fashion. You cannot build any kind of decent relationship when it is founded on corruption. Therefore any governemt that came out of such an effort would likely be brutal and oppressive. (Note: I do not know if the leaders of the Western powers are corrupt or not. I presume many are but I consider that question a separate issue.) Finally: If we don’t stop putting the interests of the parties (dems/repubs) ahead of the interests of humanity, we are doomed no matter what route we take.
