Taxes are taken by force. If you doubt this, try not paying them once. So, you support forced charity (tax paid relief efforts). I don't. What if I want my charity to go to vacation homes for the wealthy? who are you to say that my pet charity is less worthy than yours?

I lived about 1 mile away from the epicenter of the Northridge earthquake, the home I was renting at the time was red-tagged. FEMA was handing out money like hotcakes, it is well known that there was *extreme* fraud. The fact that FEMA cannot manage the money they are given should be an indication that your tax-paid relief efforts are really a great way for scam artists to line their pockets with your and my money.

LA got hammered, I personally lost most of my possessions and I still think that the tax-paid relief efforts are wrong. And i don't think that makes me any less compassionate.
