I think this discussion is getting out of hand. This debate was more or less off topic, but as it was informative, I thought we'd all benefit from it.

However, the focus of this thread remains evolution of religions and analysis of why those changes came to be. If you believe that your particular church has not changed through history, then there is little to discuss about it.

On the other hand, everything exists for a reason. Useless things, whether physical or not, perish rather quickly. Therefore the Methodist church does fill a need, or it would not exist. If you want to criticize it, then reread the thread rules and do an objective write up about how it came to be and why it continues to exist.

there is only one true Church--the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church of Christ, commonly known as the Holy Orthodox Church. roman catholicism and all forms of protestantism are heretical organizations masquerading as the Church. (to use your terminology).
