I agree! Fill it with heavy and large objects and fill in with what ever you can find that sinks. Sandbags, rocks, trees (root balls attached) cement barricades.....the kind used as dividers on highways etc. Problem is.......if a large hurricane happened again most likely all that effort would be for naught.

I own property in a flood plan and I would never build a wood structure on it.
