LIFE BLOOD

The arm reached out tenses, then relaxes. A gentle conversation ensues.
A moment of near trust received, she leans forward, plunging in the needle, drawing blood. A black widow spider would have been kinder. She stabs, Uncle Sam stabs. My blood spilling down my arm and I pay for this!
