Thanks, KLP. Words of wisdom indeed.

Yes, we are all under stress. I have talked to some of my relatives living in Mobile, Biloxi, Gulfport. Fortunately they are safe with little loss other than fallen trees, limbs, debris.

I have been unable to contact my doctor friend who lived and practiced in New Orleans or other close friends who also lived and worked there. My last contact had my doctor friend and his family on the way to Houston. I have not been able to talk with him since Sunday morning. But his home and his practice are now underwater. And I am certain that he is in deep depression.

But I also know him well enough to know that he will survive and come back.

PS: He was in the final stages of selling his practice so that he and his wife could retire. Now this.

I, too, feel for the animals. I was really touched when I viewed a man being rescued yesterday. He had his dog in his arms and both of them were saved.

Once we are over the shock and the stress, we can resume our former lives with dignity and courage. Meanwhile. . . . .
