Have you done a search on the Hiltons? Most of the current wealthy had their wealth made on the backs of the poor. You do understand that they were called robber barons not because they were good and honest.

I believe they created the wealth in hotels. If I'm wrong and they had a great deal of wealth before that please feel free to let me know.

As for robber barrons in general, the main ways that they made wealth that might be considered illigitmate or immoral were through abuse of monopolies (which might be wrong, and might be illegal, but which isn't normally actual theft), and through government subsidies and favors (which is closer to actually being theft, just having the government steal from the tax payers for you, but which isn't generally called theft, and which I don't think you would call theft in most circumstances). Sometimes people also have accused them of being "robbers" because of the low wages they paid, but they paid market wages for the most part. If the market wages were low that isn't theft. There have been some claim of monopsony power in the labor market in certain company towns, but apparently this really wasn't the case for the most part. Labor was usually mobile enough. Even if this wasn't the case this again would fall under "abusing monopoly power"(technically monopsony but they are similar), not direct theift

There is no reason Paris Hilton should be able to flaunt her enormous wealth because her great grand pappy was industrious

There is no reason why you should be able to say that she can or can't flaunt her wealth.
