This whole looting thing has me a bit ambivalent. On the one hand, looters trying to enrich themselves are the scum of the earth. On the other hand, if I was there with my family and had no access to water or food or clothes to keep my family warm, I think I'd be the first guy in a supermarket or Walmart trying to acquire those things. Do I deserve to be arrested for trying to keep my family alive?

Of course, my first duty would be to get my family out, as instructed by the gov't. But if I couldn't get them out, because of gas issues or whatever, and the aid agencies were unaccessible, then looting food, water, and clothing, should be legal and justifiable.
