If I were the Winn-Dixie CEO, I would send a contingent of volunteers down there with a big sign saying "Wait Your Turn" and have them pass out food.

Me, too. Similarly, if I were the CEO of Wal-Mart, Sam's, 7-11, etc.

I have been contemplating going down to Baton Rouge to help out with the refugees. Could stay with my family so would not be a burden on the volunteer resources.

If I do go, would fill up the vehicle with cases of bottled water or whatever else is needed.

But worried about gas. And not sure what I could do, except administrative stuff.

Cannot reach any of my family by phone except my sister when she is at home. No cell phone contact with Baton Rouge, can't reach her at the hospital. They still don't have power.

This is crazy.
