I'm sure it's not a popular opinion but I do agree with the FEMA guy on one point. This catastrophe has been greatly exacerbated by the large number of people that chose to ignore the mandatory evacuation order. I'm not talking about the old and infirm. I'm talking about able bodied men and women that chose to "ride it out" for whatever reason. Those same people are now sopping up resources that should be going to those unable to fend for themselves. Of course it's quite popular to sit back and snipe at perceived mistakes that have been made in the aftermath, yet blasphemous to even suggest a bit of personal accountability is in order.
