Have you considered why they didn't leave, or how they would leave, or where they would go?

No car, no money, totally reliant on public transportation, no way to evacuate, no way to get back if they did, etc.

IF they wanted them evacuated they should have gotten the buses there 5 days ago.

I understand what you are saying re evacuation orders. But have you considered the above?

I would accept this argument that people shouldn't have stayed if I didn't see no resources (food, water etc) being deployed to the Superdome or convention center which were setup for shelter- people were supposed to be able to go there for safe haven.

Maybe FEMA would be of better use if they also worked on disaster prevention - like bussing people out of a city that everyone knew could be flooded with a Category 3+ storm.
