The fire marshall closed it. San Antonio said they will take 25k.

If your question is why didn't FEMA know, then I have no answer.

But as early as 11am yesterday the CNN reporter from Houston was saying he could only count 2 or 3 thousand cots on the floor. And with that number it was jam packed. So he had no idea how the Astrodome was going to be able to house 30k or 50k or whatever delusion FEMA had dreamed.

This is just a complete clown show. And the only message I get is that our government is completely unprepared to deal with anything remotely related to homeland security and its aftermath.
