Houston is the antithesis of NO, brash, audacious, can-do spirit, entrepreneurial as hell, sometimes taken to excess, witness Enron.

I'm staying in a very nice neighborhood near the Hou. Country Club, beautiful homes, money dripping off everything, but if there is any soul, any spirit, any mystery, or any sense of history, I haven't found it. I might not be looking in the right places.

Att the end of the day, though, it's about the people The folks in Houston are fabulous. You cannot imagine the generosity and big hearts of these Texans. They have treated us, personally, very well. And there are taking excellent care of the folks in the Astrodome. The citywide effort to help is really something to see. It's really heart warming to see this can-do energy coupled to a great cause. I love 'em.
