Aren't you the wild-eyed one. Are you suggesting a massive coordinated evacuation should have begun at 7 days out? LOL.

Don't you think officials may well have thought as I described? No? Oh well. No revisionism in me, just speculation. Sorry you think I'm way off base, but that's ok, I can take it. Perhaps you think officials at all levels failed because they really wanted to accomplish some ethnic cleansing? I don't know what you think even after reading your reply (why wouldn't my scenario be close to the truth? You haven't really said). Heck, I thought my explanation was reasonable, if just an educated guess, but I guess hidden somewhere within you, you are thinking of a better explanation of why there was a failure to turn the city into a ghost town prior to the storm hitting.

Somehow, I think I'll never hear/read your thinking on this.
