Why is that clueless? Is it or is it not true that this was the first year in 37 years that they weren't worked on?

Clueless.

As a friend said, "Blame the French. It was their idea to build a city at below sea level surrounded by a huge lake, a river, and the Gulf."

Actually its you that's clueless........it would help if you got out of Hot Springs once in a while. Why do you think the French Quarter is called the "French Quarter". Let me explain it to you......that was the original settlement of New Orleans by the FRENCH. Why was it the original settlement? Because it was the only area of that part of Louisiana that was above sea level. You see that's why the French Quarter did not flood during this disaster. Are the lights coming on.......at all?

But thanks.......one of the things I've always like about you.....well "like" may be a bit strong but you know what I mean......its because of your transparency. You see its the attitude that you and your friend expressed above that shows why this gov't was so slow in its respond to New Orleans. Its an attitude thing......as in bad attitude. In your collective estimation, New Orleans doesn't really belong because its black and its poor and it doesn't play by your rules. However, what you and your cohorts fail to understand.........New Orleans may have been started by the French but its been American for over a hundred years.....and the people you screwed over this past week are Americans.

Gov'ts fall for lesser negligence........we can only hope that that will be the case this time.
