That was an ebay thread that was deleted in the last 2 hours. You would not BELIEVE the reports in it. The guv of LA was given a report 3 months into his term by the state director of emergency services that the NO levees would not hold in a major storm; he fired him.

When Katrina turned toward NO, it was suggested to the mayor of NO that school busses be used to evacuate those who did not have their own transportation. Her response: "SCHOOL BUSSES! Where is the federal gov't? Why don't they provide Greyhound busses?"
The school buses were also left parked in the lowest area of the city and were soon underwater.

Maybe the feds should spend some time looking through the USC to find some charges for them.
