I think that part of the reason NO didn't get the help that Florida did is that Jeb Bush was a more effective governor than that of Louisiana. In addition, I have been reading about a lot of resue workers who tried to get in and were shot at or were worried they'd be murdered and waited until they could get a proper armed escort. So the chaos itself hampered the relief efforts, whereas in Florida there was a lot less wanton crime, so rescue and relief efforts were quicker and more effective. First, do you notice a pattern here.......on the flimiest of info you have determined that Jeb is a better governor than Blanco. The same governor that helped create the Schiavo mess. I don't know how you could be making that assertions. And if you think Jeb handled the disasters in FLA better.......do you think it might have helped having your big bro in DC? Secondly, those workers did not get shot at until they first went in on Friday so I am unclear how that fact slowed up the recovery process.
