The Bush budget deficit and the needs of Hurricane victims are directly related. The economy will take a big hit.

Bush is a cut tax and spend conservative.

I think anyone with a room temperature IQ can comprehend the concept of how a platform of cutting taxes is a politically popular thing to do.

However Hurricane Katrina, not unlike 9/11, shows how cutting taxes in a time of deficits is irresponsible.

Combine disasters with Bush's propensity for excessive spending and you a a financial disaster percolating on the back burner that will end up doing far more harm to the homeland than any terrorist in Iraq will do.
