I don't think it rises to that level.

Best to let it drop. They were simply trying to save American lives on the return leg of their flights with empty copters.

Quite frankly, I don't think you know enough about the situation to make such a statement.

Let's assume for sake of discussion that the pilots flew over those stranded people and refused to pick them up, even though they were clearly in distress and waving frantically to be picked up.

What would you say then?

I would bet a cup of coffee that it would be something like "Helicopter pilots refuse to pick up frantic refugees. Bush didn't accomplish anything but photo ops. Frantic refugees left behind."

You know I'm right.
