That is a giggle: < A famous linguist once made the further observation that it was unknown for a double positive ever to resolve to a negative. A skeptical voice came from the back of the lecture hall: "Yeah, right". This joke is due to Prof. Sidney Morgenbesser of Columbia University. However, in Bulgarian the expression "??-??" ("Yes-yes") is used to show disagreement with what has been said.>

Esp in Kiwi culture, "Yeah, right!" is part of the vernacular and a beer brand has adopted the slogan as their public image. tui.co.nz

While in Bulgaria in 1974, my wife and I had a "conversation" with a few Bulgarian blokes at a motor camp where we stayed overnight. They were explaining how in Bulgaria nodding of head and "yes, yes" means no. I didn't really understand it, but put it away for future reference. We had no language in common so our conversation was body language and about 6 words in common [in English].

Obviously there was something to it. Anyway, it was an enjoyable evening.

I should enter that in the Tui competition...I wonder if they exclude plagiarism.
