Pseudo populist charlatans are ever-ready to abandon "politics" in favor of "non-partisan commissions".

The founders WARNED us against following the ignorant into tyranny-while realizing it would be up to US.

Both the Nazis and Marxist/Leninists managed to replace "politics" with "non-partisan commissions". OH, BOY, UTOPIA at LAST!!! They smoothed the way by taking the unavoidable next logical step of ensuring that there would be only ONE party.

Populism is FAR too quick to imanentize the wrong escathon...

I like the NON PARTISAN aspect but sadly have found it wont work ultimately. First you got to FIND that rare bird then you got to FEED it. We had such a person here in Palm Beach County, she got FIRED after the Gore/Bush hanging chad debacle, replaced by a Democratic Hack SO DAMN DUMB he didnt even know how to fill out the form needed to run for the office. THANK YOU BOB WEXLER. jdn
