I'm surprised that there is no discussion about the new $51B request. Has all the current $10B+ been used up?

The two together work out to over $60k per displaced person, and insurance has yet to pay out.

That's a lot of money, I hope no one is trying to take advantage.

Probably not.
Well, since asset appreciation in RE wasn't counted as inflation I don't see how it could be counted as deflation. Now if some jobs are lost, some deflationists will claim thats deflationary...otoh, so many were jobs were created off the IRS-wages radar screen.
