You didn't get it, did you? The issue about the sheep, the wolves and the sheep dogs. The point he made about the pinks and the grays. That, IMO, was the point of the essay. Not the individual parts about who was looting or why. As for "conservatives and liberals," I suspect the Governor, Blanco, would be characterized a liberal. Do you think she did a particularly good job of managing the state response to this disaster? Would you want her to be your Governor? By the way, what Hollywood stars have contributed large sums of money to relief in the Gulf? All I am aware of is Sean Penn who embarked on a photo op in a boat with his hanger's on and a photographer (not much room for people to be rescued there).
