So, using our high school physics what could have caused sea levels to increase by 10 to 20 cm over the last hundred or so years?

Well, having demonstrated the intelligence of the average Bush supporter, I suppose the next step would be a real experiment to test the effect of ice melt from continental masses -- melt some ice in a separate container and then add it to your full glass (real men would try this while changing a circuit breaker).
