The entire national debt has risen by 50% over the last 6 years... and discressionary spending by the Bush administration is also running some 50% higher then during the Clinton years.

These numbers are meaningless. The national debt was very low before the WOT and is still manageable. Most private debts go up 400% when you buy a house, so I don't think 50% is so bad.
