etch, we might see cheap throw-away laptops without hard drives soon. >new 50 nanometer 16 Gb NAND flash memory was introduced on Monday

Etch, doesn't flash memory have a finite number of read/write
cycles that limit its lifespan? Also, is there a problem
of "fragmentation" of information files in flash memory?
If so, the larger the flash memory, the bigger the issue
of fragmentation....they will still require DRAM and/or
a hard drive to defrag a large flash array, IMO.
