CARTER ECSTATIC, FINALLY FREED OF 'WORST PRESIDENT EVER' LABEL

Former Horrible President Thankful Bush's Reign Will Leave Him Just Some Sucky Ex-President

GAINESVILLE, GEORGIA - Sitting with his feet up, a Billy Beer in one hand, a huge bag of freshly picked peanuts in the other, former 'Worst President Ever' Jimmy Carter's always enormous smile doubled in size today. "I never thought the American people could vote dumber than when they picked me, Rosalyn, and Billy to run things. But hell, electing Bush makes my doing nothing about the hostages in Iran look brilliant."

Having spent the last two decades terrified his disastrous lack of economic skills, coupled with assinine world policy ineptitude, would forever earn him a place in history books and trivia games as the official biggest White House loser ever, Pres. Carter was openly giddy. "I may be remembered for my big teeth, but my policies will disappear into the general mass of Presidential dumbness, my idiocy eclipsed by President Bush's Rush Limbaugh-like reign."

lizzie. You said...."man are you an apologist- note that this is a WALL STREET JOURNAL poll, one of the few pro-Bush publications left. The public is against Bush on virtually EVERY initiative he puts forth. EVERY ONE.".....

How do you figure I'm an apologist?

I have said repeatedly that the only policy that Bush has that I agree with is his decision to attack radical islam wherever they may be and to shake up the world of islam. It should have been done years ago but most all of us have been indoctrinated into live and let live way of life.... freedom of religion no matter what the cost. We the so called free world have turned a blind eye to the atrocities of radical islam over the last hundred or so years until they became powerful enough to attack the USA where they live. radical islam was let off the hook after many attacks against the USA. They should have been confronted and destroyed long long ago.

So maybe you will remember where many here don't that I don't particularly like Bush but I do support his decision to attack radical islam in their yard. Bush has started a process that will carry on no matter who is president democrat or republican. To deal with radical islam is to admit defeat. There is IMO only ONE solution to the radical islam and that is total defeat.

Even the likes of kerry said the USA has to kill more of the enemy ...radical islam....wherever they may be.

Re: "man are you an apologist-"

He asked a question, a viable one. One I'd asked. Neither of us got an answer as to the nature of the alleged torture at gitmo claimed. You charge ahead ignoring the issue, and apparently imagine you are doing fine in the discussion. Who is an apologist here? Chinu, it seems, as he equates beheadings with ripping up a bible, and refuses to condemn beheaders until we quit ripping up bibles (which may never even have happened). He may claim to hate the "eye for an eye" philosophy, but he sure as hell practices it when he refuses to condemn beheadings until America treats prisoners at Gitmo better. He's on the the wrong side when talking that way, plainly he encourages beheadings as being not worth condemning so long as we are continuing to rip up bibles (which may never even have happened). That's nuts, and is the point of view of America's Al Qaeda enemy.

Burger King recalls 'sacrilegious' desserts

JOHN INNES

THE fast-food chain, Burger King, is withdrawing its ice-cream cones after the lid of the dessert offended a Muslim.

The man claimed the design resembled the Arabic inscription for Allah, and branded it sacrilegious, threatening a "jihad".

The chain is being forced to spend thousands of pounds redesigning the lid with backing from The Muslim Council of Britain. It apologised and said: "The design simply represents a spinning ice-cream cone."

The offending lid was spotted in a branch in Park Royal last week by business development manager Rashad Akhtar, 27, of High Wycombe.

He was not satisfied by the decision to withdraw the cones and has called on Muslims to boycott Burger King. He said: "This is my jihad. How can you say it is a spinning swirl? If you spin it one way to the right you are offending Muslims."

A Muslim Council spokesman said: "We commend the sensitive and prompt action that Burger King has taken."
