I don't single out Republican administrations when I complain about the lack of national health care. I think it is a shame no matter who is in office.

There is nothing wrong with a system where the wealthy could choose to get medical care privately if they wanted to. But it is a travesty that in such a wealthy country, there is not at least bare bones but adequate health care for everyone who needs it. I read an article the other day in a local paper about adults using Superglue on their teeth to prevent some of the pain of rotting teeth. These weren't poor people--they were formerly middle class people who had been out of work for awhile. I don't think Americans should have to live like this.

Strangely, were are the only "first world" country without a national health plan. Clearly in the minority. And yet delayed health care and the poor using emergency rooms for routine doctor visits cost our country billions of dollars a year. That doesn't make sense to me. It needs fixing.
