I didn't see it causing any violence while I watched it. Did you?

You know better, Tim. That is sophistry.

Why do you think it is so hard to get a carry permit in New York??

People carrying a gun are FAR FAR FAR nore likely to use it (drunk, sober, stoned, depressed, confused)...than people NOT carrying a gun.

Please notice I did not say I was against authorized carrying of guns. But it is not a mickey mouse subject. And it is certainly not an issue to smirk at or to mock. Guns DO kill. The fact that they must be fired simply proves the need for control. We don't give guns to idiots or children.

I still hold with Jefferson that gun ownership is a right. But we don't put a loaded gun in the hands of an idiot. If there were no Government I would want them "officially" banned. But you can hardly leave yourself defenseless against Government...

that is cute

to be honest, at one point during the katrina aftermath, I seriously thought of going down to NO to find my father and thought I would have to take a gun

me

and

a gun

that's like oil and water

but I would have taken one with me

[never say never]
